Key member of the Eyecare, India leadership team (when requested, the incumbent may provide input to International marketing planning). The incumbent will lead the in-country Franchise Team to ensure close alignment between brand strategy and country implementation.Supervisory responsibility:This position will be responsible for ONE personKEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: % of Time or
Importance1. Development & Execution of local Tactical Marketing Plans· Leads the in-country Franchise Team and ensures the team develops and executes local market plans.· Contributes to the development of country marketing strategy, receiving core programs from International Marketing and rolling out locally, as well as developing new local programs.· Develops the local market plan in conjunction with Country Managers, agreeing split of promotional budget between local programs within country to achieve local market objectives.· Identifies clear roles and responsibilities for delivery of local marketing tactics and agrees with the country CM strategies to deliver the budget Communicates the roles and responsibilities to relevant stakeholders including Sales Program team, Sales Management, Agencies.· Tracks implementation of activities in the local market plan working with agencies and country team to ensure timely and effective execution.· Reviews implementation of the local market plan. When requested may feed back to the International marketing team. Monitors local competitor activities (spending time in field to understand the local market) and ensures local organization and regional marketing are kept up to date.· With the country training manager, trains country sales force in the execution of market programs and use of materials.· Manage local KOL development plans, local Congresses and new indication launches to ensure alignment with local Business Plan,· Reviews International plans developed by International marketing and creates/implements local interpreted plans to meet country goals· Work with BUD on forecast, product planning and product launches· Develops with BUD/BUM budgets and strategic plans for the country franchise60%2. Management and Delivery of Promotional MaterialsCollaborate with local Product Managers team to ensure country promotional materials, Congress and HCP Training materials and Trimester promotional materials are managed through local regulatory approval process and are translated and delivered in line with country marketing strategy and local market plan.Communicates with other Marketing managers in APACMEA to share/learn best practices20%3. Sales and Budget ObjectivesCollaborates with local team to identify and implement all effective action necessary towards achievement of agreed sales targets for country.Anticipates competitor strategy, makes recommendations to local BUD/BUM and develops counter-plans.Manages promotional budget to maximum effect ensuring effective spend to deliver sales and profit targets.10%1.
