The role involves working with senior engineers to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize electrical systems, such as power distribution, motors, and PLC systems in areas like the Steel Melting Shop (SMS) or Rolling Mills.Job Description Highlights:
  • Objective: To learn and support the maintenance and operation of electrical equipment, ensuring uninterrupted production in a steel plant.
  • Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems (transformers, switchgears, motors) to reduce downtime.
  • Troubleshooting: Assist in diagnosing and repairing electrical faults under the supervision of senior engineers.
  • Project Assistance: Support installation and commissioning of new electrical machinery and infrastructure.
  • Documentation: Prepare technical reports, update maintenance logs, and document technical findings.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and environmental regulations in a high-temperature industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities by Area:
  • Steel Melting Shop (SMS): Monitor electrical components of furnaces and ladles.
  • Rolling Mill: Maintain electrical control systems for smooth production.
  • Power Distribution: Work with substations and switchgears.
Requirements:
  • Education: Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: 0 to 2 years (fresher or early career).
  • Skills: Basic knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting ability, and familiarity with CAD software or PLC systems is advantageous.
  • Attributes: Willingness to learn, ability to work in a team, and ability to work in high-pressure industrial environments.
