MBA/PGDM in Operations (Preferred)

Experience:

15–20 years of overall experience in manufacturing
Minimum 8–10 years in a senior production leadership role within the paper industry

Job Summary:We are seeking an accomplished and result-oriented General Manager (Works) to oversee all production operations at our Paithan (Aurangabad) manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have deep industry knowledge in paper production, a strong leadership background, and proven success in optimizing plant operations for quality, safety, and efficiency.Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Control:

Ensure efficient production scheduling, resource allocation, and output delivery as per business targets. * Process & Quality Management:Maintain and improve process standards for Kraft, Duplex, Writing/Printing paper grades while ensuring consistent product quality. * Maintenance Coordination:Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure minimal downtime and uninterrupted plant operations. * Manpower Management:Lead, train, and motivate a large workforce ensuring productivity, discipline, and safety. * Cost & Inventory Control:Monitor operating costs, reduce waste, and ensure optimal utilization of materials and inventory. * EHS (Environment, Health & Safety):Enforce strict compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and foster a safe working culture. * Reporting & Coordination:Provide regular performance updates to senior management and coordinate interdepartmental functions for smooth operations.Key Competencies:

In-depth knowledge of paper production processes (Kraft, Duplex, Writing/Printing)
Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities
Expertise in managing large teams and complex operations
Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with modern manufacturing methodologies like TPM, Lean, and Six Sigma (preferred)
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance in the manufacturing industry
