Wind Turbine Design Senior Lead Engineer

• Be the technical SPOC for Wind Turbine Design projects of Tower and Foundation and/or Nacelle.
• Comprehend the customer needs and formulate the ideas utilizing established design principles.
• Interact with customers right from quotation phase and align on project estimation, timelines, technical clarifications, final deliverables.
• Lead team at Quest global while taking ownership of hiring, onboarding, training, technically mentoring team, technical deliverables.
• Collaborate with various teams, including functional owners, internal or external manufacturing teams, procurement, logistics of customer organization to fulfill the design requirements.
• Generate 3D models and 2D drawings for sheet metal components and assemblies using SIEMENS NX.
• Create a bill of materials and perform other PLM activities to initiate the workflow.
• Conduct DFMEA and DRA to improve the design.
• Guide junior engineers and mentor for deliverables including technical review of each delivery.

• Mechanical engineer with 12+ years of experience in SIEMENS NX and Team center.
• Wind turbine design experience is must.
• Expertise in 3D modeling, Sheet metal, assembly, drawing creation, and BOM is a must.
• Expertise in sheet metal design with the consideration of fit, form and functionality is essential.
• Experience in material selection, component selection as per industrial standards (DIN, IEC etc.) and EHS requirements is an advantage.
• Experience in welding, large assembly, fastening is essential
• Experience in applying GD&T is very essential.
• Experience in electrical routing and surface modeling is an added advantage
• Experience in the manufacturing industry, exposure to maintenance and service requirements is an added advantage.
• Experience of hosting training, mentoring and reviewing is a must.
• Experience of estimating the work package, developing project plan is an added advantage.
• Very good communication skills and interpersonal skills are essential.
