Job DescriptionThe Manager - Network & Telecom Engineering is responsible for the design and deployment of Retail's secure networking and telecom infrastructure and managing the performance of the service providers and suppliers. The role holder is also responsible for overseeing the network infrastructure high level projects in DC/DR and Cloud setup and required to ensure the international standards setup is effectively implemented across all MAF Retail operating countries.He/she will also be responsible for managing Telecom Service Providers, Network Suppliers and maintaining the network assets through effective monitoring of SLA/OLAs for all network services.Network & Telecom Engineering Strategy Implementation

Analyse business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organisation to develop solutions for IT needs
Manage and develop regional team within the chapter to ensure qualified resources are always available to accommodate the growth plans and digital products
Lead and manage the agile network infrastructure active and passive components (LAN, WAN, WLAN, A/V) and cloud connectivity within ICT chapter. Own problem determination, isolation, and resolution of complex support tickets
Ensure the proper deployment of the standard network infrastructure during the new stores opening
Deliver a cost-effective network solution and tool to utilize and optimize the existing OPEX across all services
Ensure used Information Technology is standardized for the whole organization (MAF Retail in 17+ operating countries) including the used platforms and software, network cloud and network components (passive & active) hardware

Minimum Qualifications/education

Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering or a related field
Master's degree in the same field is preferred
Cisco CCIE or equivalent is required
Azure, GCP, AWS architecture experience is required, certification is preferred
PMP, ITIL, Six Sigma and similar certification is preferred

Minimum experience

6+ years of experience in networking in a complex cross-geo environment
Preferably 2+ years in the retail/e-Commerce business or closely related industry

Skills

Demonstrated expertise in different network, telecom, security and cloud technologies
Experience in Project Management, plan, scope, and risk management
Strong knowledge of SDN, SDWAN, NAI, DNA, Cloud
Technical procurement and Vendor performance management
Highly adaptable to the rapid changes in technology nowadays and the challenging market scenarios. Expert and proactive in situations where multitasking is required and always have the attitude to complete in the given timeframe
Good knowledge of e-Commerce IT ecosystem from both a business and a technical standpoint
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, analytical skills, leadership, and design thinking skills
Strong stakeholder communication skills with experience working in highly collaborative teams
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong English language skills (Speaking, Reading and Writing) with exceptional business writing, Arabic is a plus
