We are seeking a highly skilled CAD Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative medical device startup. As a CAD Engineer, you will be responsible for utilizing your expertise in mechanical design and related software to contribute to the development of cutting-edge medical devices. Your role will involve translating design concepts into detailed 3D models and technical drawings, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Responsibilities: Collaborate with product development teams to understand design requirements and specifications for medical devices. Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software, adhering to best practices and design standards. Conduct design analysis and feasibility studies to ensure functional and manufacturability aspects of the designs. Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers and other stakeholders to refine and optimize designs for performance, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Perform design modifications and iterations based on feedback and requirements, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of the models and drawings. Conduct tolerance analysis and dimensional stack-up studies to ensure proper fit and assembly of components. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to support prototype development and production activities. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and quality management system requirements. Stay updated with the latest advancements in CAD software, mechanical design techniques, and medical device industry trends. Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience as a CAD Engineer or similar role, preferably in the medical device industry or a related field. Strong proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and technical drawing creation. In-depth knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as FDA guidelines for medical devices. Experience with design analysis tools and techniques, including tolerance analysis and finite element analysis (FEA). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively within cross-functional teams. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
