Staff Nurse

Job descriptionJD FOR Staff Nurse :-Patient Care and Assessment:

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations.
Monitor and record vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration rate).
Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring correct dosages and routes of administration.
Provide wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical interventions as required.
Observe and document changes in patient condition, reporting significant findings to the healthcare team.

Patient Support:

Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families.
Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and preventive healthcare.
Offer support during diagnostic tests, treatments, and procedures.

Care Planning and Implementation:

Develop, implement, and regularly evaluate individualized patient care plans.
Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to plan patient care.
Assist in managing patient flow, including preparing patients for discharge or transfer.

Infection Control and Safety:

Adhere to infection control protocols and standards.
Ensure patient safety by following proper procedures, including fall prevention, medication administration safety, and infection prevention.
Report any safety concerns or incidents to the appropriate staff.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Document all assessments, treatments, and patient responses in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Ensure all documentation is complete, clear, and legible.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

Work collaboratively with healthcare teams, including doctors, specialists, and other nurses, to provide comprehensive patient care.
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, patient care discussions, and team meetings.
Serve as a resource and mentor to junior nurses and nursing assistants.
