- Proposal Development: Lead the entire proposal lifecycle, from initial analysis of RFP requirements to final submission. This includes creating outlines, writing clear and concise content, and ensuring all responses are compliant with RFP specifications.
- Content Creation & Management: Develop original content that highlights Syra Health's unique value proposition, services, and capabilities. Maintain and update a content library of standard proposal language, case studies, and corporate information.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts (SMEs), project managers, legal, and finance, to gather information and develop accurate, high-quality responses.
- Project Management: Manage multiple proposal projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. Create and manage a proposal schedule, assign tasks, and track progress to ensure timely and complete submissions.
- Editing & Quality Control: Edit and proofread all proposal content for clarity, consistency, grammar, and adherence to company style guidelines. Ensure the final document is professional and error-free.
- Strategy & Solutioning: Collaborate with the sales and leadership teams to understand win themes and key differentiators. Translate complex technical and clinical solutions into clear, benefits-driven language for a non-technical audience.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and government policies to continuously improve proposal quality and strategic positioning.
- Post-Submission Activities: Participate in post-submission activities, such as Q&A sessions, Best and Final Offer (BAFO) submissions, and lessons-learned reviews to improve future proposal efforts.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in proposal writing, grant writing, or technical writing, preferably within the healthcare, health IT, or government contracting sectors.
- Proven track record of winning multi-million-dollar contracts, particularly with state and federal government agencies (e.g., Medicaid, CMS, DOD).
- Experience working with a range of proposal types, including RFPs, RFIs, and Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Skills:
- Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to synthesize complex information from multiple sources into a cohesive and compelling narrative.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with proposal management software is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
