Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 10 years of experience in virtualization or cloud native architectures in a customer-facing or support role. Experience in networking such as Linux, software-defined networking, network virtualization, open protocols, application acceleration, load balancing, DNS, VPN, routing concepts/configurations and their application in PaaS and IaaS technologies. Experience delivering technical presentations while leading discovery and planning sessions that are aligned with the customer's defined scope and success criteria. Experience in stakeholder management with executive business leaders. Preferred qualifications: Experience creating and developing infrastructure for distributed systems. Experience in customer existing software workloads. Ability to define a technical migration roadmap to the cloud reflecting specific customer needs. Ability to learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the cloud technology space. As a Customer Sales Engineer, you will work with the technical Sales team as a networking subject matter expert to differentiate Google Cloud to customers. You will help prospective customers and partners understand the power of Google Cloud, explaining technical features, helping customers design architectures, and problem-solving. You will work in networking protocols and design load balancing, Content Deliver Network (CDN), hybrid-cloud and Domain Name System (DNS) architectures. You will engage with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, and present practical and useful solutions on Google Cloud. Responsibilities Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers. Share networking experience to support the technical relationship with customers, including product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partner directly with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption of Google Cloud. Work with customers to demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations in customer/partner environments. Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms and application infrastructure required to implement a complete solution using best practices on Google Cloud. Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as needed.
