- Ensure full compliance with environmental laws and biomedical waste management rules (e.g., BMW Rules 2016, CPCB guidelines).
- Prepare and maintain all required environmental documentation and reports for audits and inspections.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies (CPCB, SPCB, MoEFCC) and represent the facility during inspections or audits.
- Supervise and optimize the operation of autoclaves, ETP and related waste treatment technologies.
- Maintain Logbooks of Autoclaves, Incinerator, ETP, etc.,
- Monitor and evaluate emissions, effluents, and residues to ensure compliance
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce environmental impact, including energy consumption, emissions, and waste generation.
- Drive continuous improvement projects for operational efficiency and pollution control.
- Support occupational health and safety programs related to hazardous waste handling.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers, operators, and facility staff on best practices in biomedical waste handling and treatment.
- Lead cross-functional teams for environmental projects and initiatives.
- Strong understanding of pollution control systems (incineration, effluent treatment, air emission control).
- Excellent knowledge of regulatory reporting systems (e.g., Annual BMW Reports, Manifest tracking).
- Proficient in environmental monitoring instruments and data analysis.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic with strong attention to detail.
