About the RoleWe are looking for a seasoned General Manager – Operations Made-up to lead our client’s end-to-end operations of our Home Furnishing/Textile manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will drive performance across production, quality, planning, and compliance, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with business growth.RequirementsKey ResponsibilitiesLead factory operations across sewing, finishing, cutting, planning, maintenance, and logistics.Achieve production targets with focus on quality, cost, and delivery timelinesImplement lean manufacturing, process optimization, and capacity planning initiativesCoordinate closely with merchandising, IE, HR, QA, and supply chain teamsDevelop and enforce SOPs, production metrics, and reporting systemsOversee workforce planning, training, and performance improvement across departmentsEnsure compliance with safety, labor, and sustainability standardsAct as a bridge between top management and the shop floor for strategy executionSkill Set RequiredIn-depth knowledge of Made-up Home Furnishing/Textile manufacturing workflowsExpertise in production planning, line balancing, and factory performance metricsStrong experience in lean, Six Sigma, TQM, and digital production systemsProven leadership skills to manage large teams across functionsHands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Inf or, etc.)Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skillsAbility to drive change, improve efficiencies, and manage scaling operationsQualificationB.Tech / Diploma in Apparel Production, Textile Engineering, or Industrial EngineeringMBA in Operations or General Management (preferred)Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Supply Chain are a plusExperience15–20+ years of progressive experience in Made-up Home Furnishing/Textile manufacturingMinimum 4–5 years in a senior operations leadership role (Factory Head/GM level)BenefitsTo be Discussed.
