GDS bring expertise and experience covering all aspects of data and analytics to enable Swiss Re in its vision to make the world more resilient.The Data Science & AI unit delivers state of the art AI/GenAI solutions for the Swiss Re Group, working in close collaboration with the business units.The OpportunityJoin us as an Document Retrieval AI Lead for our AI-powered search and conversational solution, reinvent the way reinsurance professionals find insights from millions of contracts and claims. You'll own all the AI aspects of the RAG solution, including hands-on coding.Key Responsibilities:

Own end-to-end RAG solutions - orchestrate chunking, embedding, ranking, prompting and answer synthesis for production-grade GenAI assistants
Measure what matters - define and track precision, recall, latency and user-adoption KPIs; drive continuous improvement
Collaborate & iterate - Pair with engineers, UI/UX, and business experts to release improvements at pace
Lead and mentor - Guide and coach the small squal of AI engineers

To excel in this role, you have:

8+ years building production-grade AI or search systems, including 2+ years hands-on with RAG
Expert Python/PySpark and respective frameworks
Proven track record tuning LLM prompts, embeddings and fine-tuning loops to maximise results relevancy and recall
Excellent written and spoken English; comfortable working with global teams
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)
