Role Summary:This role involves complete responsibility for solar system design and engineering, including site assessments, layout planning, detailed design documentation, and interdepartmental coordination. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with solar design tools and strong technical skills to support accurate, cost-effective, and compliant project execution.Key Responsibilities:
Conduct and manage end-to-end solar system design for rooftop and utility-scale projects.
Perform site visits to collect essential measurements and assess installation feasibility.
Take precise site data including roof layout, cable routes, termination points, and propose optimal component placement.
Prepare layout drawings and secure client approvals for system component positioning.
Generate comprehensive site visit and shadow analysis reports.
Prepare design deliverables including array layouts, SLDs, GFC files, BOMs, and BOS estimates.
Maintain and reference project documentation such as OTM, Scope Matrix, and KOM documents.
Coordinate with project, construction, and procurement teams to ensure smooth execution of engineering deliverables.
Provide regular project status updates and ensure timely communication with the reporting manager.
Interact with clients confidently and support engineering decisions with clear communication.
Take initiative in resolving design challenges and contribute to design optimization.
