- Conduct functional and developmental assessments for children government schools and community settings.
- Identify and educate the parents teachers towards therapy and facilitate them to work on the managing and to deal with the issue effectively.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy and educational support plans tailored to the child’s learning, sensory, motor, and daily living needs.
- Deliver occupational therapy services to enhance school readiness, academic participation, self-care, play, and social skills.
- Train and guide special educators, and government schoolteachers on inclusive classroom strategies, adaptive techniques, and child-friendly practices.
- Promote use of sensory integration strategies, visual aids, task simplification, and environmental modifications.
- Organize and facilitate (awareness programe) capacity-building workshops for families, Anganwadi workers, and local community groups.
- Monitor children’s progress using qualitative and quantitative indicators and provide periodic feedback to caregivers and school staff.
- Collaborate with parents to support home-based therapeutic strategies and behavior management techniques.
- Identify and recommend appropriate assistive devices, adaptive tools, and classroom accommodations.
- Support linkages to government disability schemes, entitlements, and inclusive education support programs.
- Maintain detailed records of assessments, therapy sessions, progress reports, and community activities.
- Participate in multidisciplinary review meetings and contribute to continuous program improvement.
- Uphold child safeguarding policies, disability rights, and ethical standards in all interventions.
- Responsible for therapy outcomes and inclusive learning progress of enrolled children.
- Ensure field teams (RTAs and educators) follow best practices in therapy and documentation.
- Report regularly to the CBR Program Manager and Inclusive Education Coordinator.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy (BOT) or higher.
- Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience, especially with children having intellectual or learning disabilities or freshers.
- Competency in designing and delivering functional and educational therapy interventions.
- Proficiency in Kannada and English
