- Trade Confirmation & Validation
- Perform end‑to‑end confirmation of OTC derivative trades including, but not limited to:
- Interest Rate Derivatives (IRS, OIS, Swaps)
- Credit Derivatives (CDS, indices)
- FX Derivatives (Forwards, Swaps, Options)
- Equity & Commodity OTC products (where applicable)
- Validate trade economics against front‑office systems, term sheets, and confirmations.
- Ensure confirmations are completed within agreed SLAs and industry standards (ISDA, CSA).
- Exception & Discrepancy Management
- Investigate and resolve trade breaks, mismatches, and disputes with counterparties and internal teams.
- Proactively track aged/unconfirmed trades and escalate risks appropriately.
- Ensure accurate documentation of issues and resolution paths for audit and regulatory review.
- Counterparty & Stakeholder Interaction
- Liaise with front office, legal, risk management, back office, and external counterparties.
- Regulatory & Risk Control
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as EMIR, Dodd‑Frank, and other local regulations.
- Support audits, risk assessments, and regulatory inquiries.
- Maintain strong operational controls to mitigate operational and counterparty risk.
- Process Improvement & Mentorship
- Identify process inefficiencies and contribute to automation, standardization, and control enhancements.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and provide guidance or mentoring to junior analysts.
- Technical & Product Knowledge
- Strong understanding of OTC derivatives and confirmation workflows.
- Familiarity with ISDA documentation, CSA agreements, and regulatory requirements.
- Hands‑on experience with confirmation platforms (e.g., MarkitWire, ICE, DTCC, electronic confirmations).
- Analytical & Operational Skills
- High attention to detail with strong reconciliation and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to manage high volumes and tight deadlines without compromising accuracy.
- Strong problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis skills.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication.
- Ability to handle counterparty negotiations and internal escalations confidently.
- Collaborative mindset with a strong sense of accountability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 3–6 years of experience in Middle Office / Trade Support / OTC Confirmations.
- Experience across multiple asset classes preferred.
- Exposure to global markets and multi‑regional counterparties is an advantage.
