- Lead design and development of integrations across SAP PI/PO, CPI, and APIM.
- Build complex mappings, adapter modules, and reusable integration components.
- Configure and optimize CPI/APIM/PI/PO AAE, caches, transports, and adapter modules.
- Develop REST/SOAP APIs, RAML specifications, and API policies in APIM.
- Implement secure connectivity (SSL/mutual SSL) across ABAP and Java stacks.
- Troubleshoot issues across CPI, PI/PO, APIM, ABAP, and J2EE layers.
- Perform advanced performance tuning and optimize high-volume interfaces.
- Manage CPI/APIM/PI/PO monitoring, alerting, and error-handling frameworks.
- Support SIT/UAT cycles and ensure high-quality technical delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior developers.
- Ensure adherence to integration standards, governance, and best practices.
- Participate in large-scale SAP implementation and migration projects.
- Document integration architecture, mappings, and technical designs.
- Collaborate with functional teams to refine integration requirements.
- Manage daily operational support for PI/PO/CPI/APIM platforms.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends in SAP CPI technology and recommend innovative solutions to improve efficiency and performance
- Demonstrate ability to develop and release quality products on time in an emerging technology environment.
- Establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.
- 7+ years of experience in SAP PI/PO and APIM, CPI development.
- Strong expertise in CPI/APIM/PI/PO message mappings, UDFs, and adapter modules.
- Working knowledge of FILE, JMS, JDBC, MAIL, RFC, SOAP adapters, and how to set up for use, including implementing SSL on both the ABAP and JAVA stacks (requires knowledge of mutual SSL).
- Experience building custom PI/PO adapter modules. Ability to monitor PI/PO for errors - alert configuration and monitoring.
- Deep knowledge of CPI iFlows, Groovy scripting, and exception handling.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across PI/PO, CPI, ABAP, and J2EE.
- Experience with API development (REST, SOAP), RAML, and API analytics.
- Strong knowledge in configuring APIs, proxy endpoints, API portals, and API analytics.
- Writing and utilizing APIs / Action Layer / MVC.
- Strong knowledge in REST API development, Web service development and RAML design, connectors, and Exception Handling.
- Strong understanding of integration patterns and distributed systems.
- Experience with SSL/mutual SSL on ABAP and Java stacks.
- Ability to handle large messages and high-volume processing.
- Experience with CI/CD, CTS+, and transport automation.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Tools proficiency: Groovy Editors, Postman, SOAPUI, Oxygen XML.
- Experience with WebSphere MQ, Adeptia.
- Experience with SAP Event Mesh.
- Knowledge of SAP BTP Integration Suite architecture.
- Experience in performance engineering and load testing.
- Exposure to DevOps pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
