manufacturing industry is responsible for leading the quality control team to ensure that PCBs meet IPC standards, customer specifications, and internal quality management systems (QMS) throughout the manufacturing process (fabrication, masking, etching, SMT assembly). They bridge the gap between quality engineering and the production floor, acting as a leader for inspectors and technicians to ensure zero-defect production.Core Responsibilities
  • Process Monitoring & Inspection: Oversee daily QC inspections (incoming, in-process, and final) on PCB/SMT lines, ensuring adherence to standards like IPC-A-600/610.
  • Team Leadership & Training: Manage, mentor, and train QC technicians and inspectors on inspection procedures, handling, and safety measures.
  • Defect Management & CAPA: Lead root cause analysis (using 5 Why, SPC) for PCB defects, implementing Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to reduce rework and scrap.
  • Compliance & Auditing: Maintain ISO 9001/AS9100/IATF 16949 standards, conducting internal audits and facilitating customer audits.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain meticulous quality records, including First Article Inspections (FAI), lot inspection records, and quality metrics reports for management.
  • Supplier Quality Management: Interface with suppliers to ensure incoming materials (laminates, chemicals, components) meet specifications.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering,
  • Experience: 2–4 years of experience in PCB manufacturing, SMT assembly, or EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services), with at least 2+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes (printing, etching, drilling, SMT) and IPC standards.
  • Quality Tools: Proficiency in Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, AS9100).
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills to handle cross-functional collaboration and customer complaints
