ACCOUNTANT FOR GOVERNMENT INFRASTRUCTURE - RAIPUR, CHHATTISGARH

• Project Accounting: Creating project accounts, maintaining records of contracts, and managing change orders.
• Financial Reporting & Budgeting: Assisting in the preparation of daily, monthly, and yearly financial statements, MIS reports, and budgetary monitoring.
• Cost Control: Analyzing project-related expenses (labor, materials, overheads) to identify variances and ensure cost reductions.
• Compliance & Audit: Preparing tax returns (including VAT/GST), ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Government Accounting Standards (GAGAS), and supporting internal/external audits.
• Transactions & Reconciliation: Handling vendor invoices, bank reconciliations, payroll, and updating the general ledger.
• Project Close-out: Closing out project accounts upon completion.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, commerce, or finance; CPA or CA certification is highly preferred.
• Experience: 3 to 10 years of experience, preferably in construction, infrastructure, or government sectors.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP), accounting software, and MS Excel.
• Compliance Knowledge: In-depth understanding of tax regulations, and accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS).
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with project managers.

• Standard office work, occasionally involving site visits with exposure to dust and construction environments
