Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Purchase Manager or in a similar role in Electronics
  • Production or R&D sector only
  • Knowledge of Tally will be an added advantage
  • Experience in Stores Management will be another advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive purchasing strategies for all electrical and electronic components, including mechanical & relevant items, and various capital items and Bought-out Items
  • Forecast market trends and identify changes in pricing to optimize procurement decisions
  • Good acumen on Project Based Purchases & Services, including site purchase
  • Develop import strategies that prioritize quality, reduced lead times, and cost control
  • Oversee the sheet metal fabrication process to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
Vendor Management & Negotiation
  • Lead vendor selection processes and build strategic partnerships with key suppliers
  • Develop and implement effective negotiation strategies to secure the best possible terms for purchases
  • Monitor vendor performance and manage relationships to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Procurement Strategy
  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to ensure timely acquisition of high-quality materials and components
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong supplier relationships
  • Have in-depth experience in having procured niche hard to find Electronic components and associated material
  • Have significant knowledge in sources for supply within the country and abroad to provide seamless support to the urgent needs of the project teams and the production department
  • Supplier Management
  • Maintain a Database of qualified suppliers and continuously monitor their performance
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with reliable vendors and suppliers, focusing on value engineering and cost reduction
  • Establish and develop benchmarking standards for vendor performance and evaluate alternative parts for potential sourcing
Conduct regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and delivery schedules * Manage vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditionsConstantly be on the lookout for more and more suppliers who will meet with the growing and urgent demands of the organization * Good knowledge of Inland and Overseas Logistics with time & cost effectivenessProcess Improvement & Performance Management
  • Continuously monitor and analyze purchasing data to identify areas for improvement
  • Implement strategies to improve key functional metrics related to efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including engineering and production teams
  • Ensure strong credit control practices while keeping pace with upcoming demand levels
Inventory Management
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the Production and R&D teams to forecast demand
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
Cost Management
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards
  • Monitor market trends and adjust procurement strategies to capitalize on cost-saving opportunities
Compliance and Documentation
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations and the aerospace standards for which this company is certified for
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.
Collaboration& Continuous Improvement
  • Work closely with the R&D and production teams to understand project requirements and timelines
  • Collaborate with finance and logistics teams to ensure smooth procurement and delivery processes
  • Implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to drive innovation in procurement processes.
Other Skills
  • Can Easily grasp the modern methodology of Supply Chain Management
  • Acceptance of new age changes and adaptation to new technique
  • Churning out new ideas to enhance self-performance
  • Strong knowledge of electronic components, materials and sources for Purchase
  • Any certification of Materials Management
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standard
