- Deeply collaborating with product managers and product / content designers to understand the user experience expected out of a product / customer journey
- Understanding the design system and UI constraints from design and development perspectives by working closely with UI designers and front-end developers
- Ideating interactive and responsive UI elements, including animations, transitions, and micro-interactions that lead to the expected UX
- Translating these ideas into handover-ready files that can be implemented by the front-end developers
- Testing the performance of the designs and iterating basis feedback
- Reviewing the implemented designs and ensuring pixel perfection
- Creating high-fidelity prototypes for design validation & testing, and show-reels for app stores, presentations and social media releases
- Enriching the design system with motion-design styles and standards
- Finding ways to improve efficiency while working with the team
- Learning and giving back to the team and its culture of learning from each other. Actively conducting, participating, and supporting team activities
- 2-6 years of hands-on motion and interaction design expertise in a digital product company: in-house or agency
- Strong knowledge of animation principles and techniques (text, illustrations and screens), including timing, easing, and motion curves
- Experience creating complex motion graphics and animations using tools such as After Effects or Lottie.
- Fluency with a prototyping tool such as Principle, ProtoPie, Framer or Figma.
- Knowledge of motion design principles for iOS, Android and responsive web
- Familiarity with custom CSS and JavaScript animations and interactions, front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices for designing inclusive interfaces.
- Strong understanding of response time limits, typography, colour theory, and composition
- Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills…and the ability to defend and convince stakeholders through first principles and customer-validation
- An understanding of the balance between craft, speed, and impact on the bottom line. When to break the mould when it comes to processes and techniques

- An online portfolio that documents your best work and thinking process (a PDF would do too). If not, you might be asked to take a design assignment.
- Already have a background in making moving pictures, choreography, gaming, animation, installation art, or take a keen interest in it
- Take interest in areas adjacent to Design: emerging tech, innovation and patenting, culture, psychology, etc.
- Enjoy reading, researching, writing articles, evangelizing design, and working with the broader community of Design.
- Believe Design is more than just work, but a way of life. You love to doodle, sketch, illustrate, arrange, showcase, and have a keen eye for aesthetics.
