Engineering authority in System Design & Studies for projects/tenders with low to high complexity for Flexible A.C. Transmission Systems (FACTS) Technology aligned with Power Quality Solutions (PQS) Business. Execution of complete engineering assignments on small, medium, or large projects/tender with cost effectively and in accordance with contract specifications and quality standards. Coordinate with Engineering Manager, Engineering Leads, Tendering team, Project managers, SCM, Primary/Mechanical Design, secondary/Electrical design, Control Design, consultants, end customers etc. and provide required support in each Project / Tender.Activities Involved:
- Involved in performing power system studies such as load flow, short circuit, transient stability, switching transients and alike for utility / industrial. systems.
- Correlating power system performance (i.e., dynamic performance, transient performance, switching
- Modeling of power system equipment and performing simulation in power system software packages such as EMTDC, PSCAD, PSS/E, RTDS, DIgSILENT and alike
- Specifying power system equipment such as arrestors, capacitor, reactor, transformer and alike.
- Verifying supplier documents and equipment testing requirements
- PhD in Power Systems and/or with relevant work Experience of 1-3 years
- M. Tech, Power Systems and/or with relevant work Experience of 2-5 years
- B.E/B. Tech, Electrical Engineering and/or with relevant work Experience of 5-10 years
- Knowledge on Simulation tools like PSCAD/PSSE/MATLAB/DIgSILENT
- Knowledge on International standards (i.e., IEEE/IEC/GIGRE)
- Understanding application of Power Electronics in HV/EHV system
- Individual contributor using in-depth knowledge in a specific area to execute complex or specialized projects /challenges often thinking independently to challenge traditional solutions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of related disciplines in the organization.
