The Legal Manager will be responsible for handling a wide range of non-litigation legal matters, with a primary focus on contract management and related work. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of contract law, excellent drafting and negotiation skills, and the ability to provide sound legal advice to internal stakeholders.Responsibilities:
  • Contract Management:
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a variety of commercial contracts, including but not limited to:
  • Software as a Service (SaaS) agreements
  • Master service agreements (MSAs)
  • Non-disclosure agreements (NDAs)
  • Vendor agreements
  • Partnership agreements
  • Client contracts
  • Technology licensing agreements
  • Ensure contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Manage the contract lifecycle, including tracking key dates, obligations, and deliverables.
  • Maintain an organized contract database and ensure proper documentation.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to internal teams on contract-related matters.
  • Legal Advisory and Support:
  • Provide legal advice and support on various non-litigation matters, including corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory issues.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of legal policies and procedures.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws and regulations.
  • Liaise with external counsel as needed.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure the company's operations and business practices comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and advise internal stakeholders on their implications.
  • Assist in developing and delivering training programs on legal and compliance matters.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
  • Preferred: Master's degree in Law (LLM) or specialization in contract law.
  • Bar Council of India membership and active practice license.
Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience as a lawyer, with a focus on contract management and non litigation matters.
  • Prior experience in the technology or logistics industry is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong understanding of contract law principles and commercial law.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear and concise legal advice.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in legal research databases and other legal technology tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong ethical standards and professional integrity.
