  • Leading media monitoring and firm-wide media coverage distributions.
  • Supporting media engagement tracking and market and peer research and analysis.
  • Developing internal reports and presentations that provide quantitative and qualitative analysis of media engagement.
  • Supporting the broader Corporate Communications & Marketing team on presentations and other critical materials for senior-level stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with External Communications team in the design and execution of tailored media relations programs that promote investment team priorities.
  • Drafting communications (press releases, media talking points, Q&A, etc.) with exceptional eye for detail
  • Facilitating review of work product with internal and external stakeholders, including Ares Legal and Compliance.
  • Learning key skills in proactive and reactive media engagement, issues management and brand promotion.
  • Managing multiple projects and tasks with business-critical deadlines.
  • Delivering fresh ideas, produce high-quality work and drive results.
QUALIFICATIONSEducation:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, communications or journalism.
Experience Required:
  • 7–10 years of experience
  • Working in a Communications or Media Relations role
General Requirements:
  • Detail-oriented
  • Experience at a regional, national, or global financial services firm
  • Self-starter, outstanding communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as with “the team”
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and digital literacy
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office 365 Suite, especially PowerPoint
