Its advanced fruit storage solutions have propelled Farm-Pik into India's largest apple brand.Aligned with the Adani Group's philosophy of "Growth with Goodness," AAFL empowers over 17,000 farmers by providing modern storage infrastructure, fair pricing, and access to broader markets, fostering sustainable agricultural practices and community development.JOB PURPOSEThis role is responsible for supporting procurement processes to ensure the consistent supply of high-quality goods by assisting in supplier interactions, conducting quality checks, and contributing to the digital recording of procurement data. This role plays a vital role in executing quality assurance tasks, maintaining records, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to uphold procurement standards.Responsibilities:Procurement Team Member - S4Quality Check and Control:
  • Assist in implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for quality checks on incoming consignments.
  • Conduct initial quality inspections, including evaluating starch index patterns and identifying external defects like sunburn.
  • Support random sampling of consignments, flagging lots with defects exceeding 12%, and categorizing accepted lots by color and size.
  • Ensure packaging quality aligns with organizational standards to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate the storage of products in designated chambers based on color and size to preserve quality.
Stakeholder Interaction:
  • Support liaison activities with internal stakeholders such as sales and logistics teams to ensure smooth procurement operations.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including growers, their unions, and auditors, to maintain compliance and procure high-quality produce.
  • Assist in coordinating with sales centers for testing reports and provide relevant insights to improve farming practices.
Data Management:
  • Maintain accurate records of quality control data for internal use and external audits.
  • Assist in updating digital records for procurement data, ensuring accessibility and accuracy for quality assurance purposes.
  • Contribute to analyzing quality control data to identify areas for process improvement.
Comprehensive Quality Management:
  • Follow the established quality assurance strategies, adhering to organizational goals and SOPs for quality checks.
  • Stay informed of updates to quality standards and integrate them into daily tasks to enhance the procurement process.
People Engagement and Team Collaboration:
  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve procurement goals, sharing insights and feedback to improve team performance.
  • Participate in training programs and mentorship opportunities to enhance personal expertise in procurement processes.
  • Foster a sense of ownership and accountability in assigned tasks to align with departmental objectives.

A Master's degree is preferred.Experience:A minimum of 0-1 years of experience in procurement, preferably in FMCG or food industry.Industry Preferred:Experience in the perishable goods industry or related sectors, such as agriculture, food processing, or logistics.
