The candidate will be responsible for the technical aspects related to the electrical engineering of thehigh voltage interconnection infrastructure of PV power plants, from project development to design,construction and operation, in compliance with the following main responsibilities:As a member of the technical team within the Grid department, your primary objective will be to performcalculations, studies and review technical documentation related Electromechanical designs to ensurecompliance with grid connection requirements across the various countries in which the Grid EMEAteam operates. You will report directly to the Head of Grid Engineering, who will coordinate, negotiateand liaise as key point of contact with diverse internal and external stakeholders at the regional level toestablish optimized solutions, strategies, priorities, and requirements pertinent to the grid connectiondesign· Review and provide comments on basic and detailed engineering for planning, tendering,construction and commissioning stages ( ie: as built HV engineering designs, Overallsubstation layouts and sections, Electromechanical drawings, C&P and MV cables layout,interface with Civil and Control and Protection engineering, Lighting design, etc.).· Review manufacturers’ designs of HV Equipment, power transformers, switchgears, cables,protection equipment, relays and other MV/HV equipment.· Calculation of HV Installations, earthing grid study, insulation coordination study, short circuitstudy, shielding system, bus bar sizing calculations, AC/DC system, HV/MV/LV cable sizingcalculations,· Preparation of HV Substation design deliverables. (i.e. Conceptual detailed design forpreparation of RFP, planning, detailed design for Contestable works Tendering in coordinationwith the GRID project team, etc.)· Perform the necessary calculations and studies based on the technical Risk and Hazard· Contribute to optimization of interconnection solutions, costs, deadlines, quality and risks.· Support to centralise and compile all information, lessons learned, engineering knowledge, aswell as local regulations and best practices in the different regions.· Responsible for the preparation of periodical engineering status progress report, internal, EPC/ICPs, HV manufacturers, minutes of meetings and others.
