This role is responsible for driving Sales growth for assigned Area through solution-based selling, strategic customer engagement, and proactive account development. The Area Sales Manager plays a key role in key account management, expanding market presence, acquiring new customers, and delivering value-driven solutions aligned with the company’s sales and marketing objectives.Key Responsibilities:1. Key Account Management & Retention
- Build strong, long-term relationships with key accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Understand customer applications and provide tailored solutions that enhance performance and efficiency.
- Monitor account health and take ownership of issue resolution and service coordination.
- Drive regional growth by identifying opportunities, developing customer relationships, and managing a healthy sales pipeline.
- Focus on solution-oriented selling to meet customer needs and deliver measurable business impact.
- Ensure alignment with company goals through effective territory planning and execution.
- Proactively explore new markets and customer segments to expand business footprint.
- Lead customer acquisition initiatives through consultative selling and value proposition delivery.
- Collaborate with marketing and customer solution teams to support lead generation and conversion.
- Own the sales cycle from lead qualification to order closure, ensuring timely and accurate forecasting.
- INTERNAL DOCUMENT - should not be shared with third parties without explicit permission.
- Maintain visibility on open orders, delivery schedules, and customer commitments.
- Use CRM tools like Salesforce and SAP to track progress, analyze trends, and report performance.
- Work closely with technical support, logistics, and customer solutions teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Coordinate with SCM and Finance to align on inventory, credit, and payment terms.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to share insights and improve customer experience.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer developments.
- Provide feedback to support innovation, product positioning, and pricing strategy.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and strategic initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical / electrical / electronics) or related field.
- An MBA in Sales and Marketing will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in industrial sales, preferably in HVAC, motors, fans, or related electromechanical components.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset
- Proven ability to drive growth through solution selling and account development.
- Exposure to OEMs and B2B customer environments.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and sales reporting
- Willingness to travel across assigned territory
