Key ResponsibilitiesProvide Level 2 support for VAS platforms across voice, messaging, and data applications.Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues following established procedures.Perform routine activities including fault management, change management, and system monitoring.Ensure service uptime and SLA commitments through capacity planning and redundancy management.Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of client-reported problems and implement corrective actions.Support application deployments, including releases, patches, and fixes on the platform.Carry out system audits with internal and external teams; provide inputs to regulatory and government bodies regarding compliance.Provide valid justifications for non-compliance cases when required.Configure and troubleshoot Linux environments (clustering, high availability, load balancing).Work with various web servers including Apache, Tomcat, and JBoss.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.Comfortable working in rotational shifts to provide 24/7 support coverage.Key Skills RequiredHands-on experience with Linux platforms; ability to troubleshoot application and OS-level issues.RHCE/RHCA certification preferred.Strong knowledge of MySQL or Oracle databases.Basic understanding of telecom systems: IN, HLR, SMSC, VLR, GSM, MSC.Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes, with ability to manage tasks independently.Basic knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud platforms.Familiarity with Python and shell scripting.Experience with web servers: Tomcat, JBoss, Apache.Strong analytical skills for RCA and problem-solving.Good verbal and written communication skills.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field.3–6 years of experience in VAS support, application support, or telecom domain.Proven track record of maintaining service uptime and meeting SLA commitments.Desirable AttributesExposure to compliance and regulatory processes in telecom/IT environments.Ability to work independently and manage tasks under pressure.Strong collaboration skills with internal teams, OEMs, and external stakeholders.
