- 12-15 years of professional software engineering experience, with 3+ years in an engineering management role.
- Experience managing technical teams of 5-8 engineers with demonstrated ability to scale teams.
- Demonstrated experience in project planning and execution, including scope definition, prioritization, risk management, and delivery tracking across multiple work streams.
- Strong ability to manage cross-functional dependencies and drive alignment across engineering and product teams while leading delivery using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), including sprint planning, milestone management, and stakeholder communication.
- Track record of building high-performing teams and developing engineering talent
- Proven ability to balance competing priorities while ensuring on-time delivery, quality, and long-term platform scalability.
- Work with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Strong working experience in platform and API development using Node.js and GraphQL, frontend enablement using React and TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Proven experience designing, deploying, and operating cloud-native services on AWS, with an understanding of scalability, security, and cost optimization.
- Ability to remain sufficiently hands-on to review technical designs, guide complex implementations, and unblock teams when required.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, API design, and modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD, observability, and operational readiness.
- Demonstrated technical judgment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed trade-offs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
