Our team is responsible for creating the brand's ecommerce presence via search engines/bots and provide the best guest experiences from an SEO perspective.This team is also in the process of ATG deprecation by replacing ATG services to homegrown services. We fail forward and learn from our mistakes, thus creating a better path ahead. You have a strong foundation in Python, Next.js, and AWS services, with experience designing and maintaining scalable solutions that power exceptional user experiences. You are adept at applying mathematical and social principles to build technology solutions that drive business success.A Day in the Life:Full Stack Developer (Python & Next.js):

This is a full-stack and cloud engineering role. The expectation is that the candidate is comfortable working across the stack and will mentor engineers in any area of the stack.
Work directly with stakeholders across disciplines and drive initiatives to completion with the team.
Use systems thinking to seamlessly transition between tactical use cases and strategic big-picture planning.
Maintain, update, and document core system components that enable feature development.
Proactively support and mentor fellow engineers.
Champions best practices and governance to enable multiple delivery teams across the organization.
Have a deep understanding of cloud-based solution development and deployment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Information Technology, or in a related technical field or equivalent technology experience.
Minimum 9 - 12 years of work experience in designing, developing, and implementing computer software projects in a web and micro services-based environment.

Backend:

Expertise in Python (Intermediate to Expert level) with strong debugging skills.
Hands-on experience with AWS Services: Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, Elastic Cache, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, Secret Manager, API Gateway, Route53.
Basic knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, etc.).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins) and Infrastructure as Code.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and Kafka basics.
Experience in system design and ability to build small systems from the ground up.
Proficiency in unit testing and writing testable code.

Frontend:

5+ years of JavaScript experience, including React.js, Next.js, and Redux.
Proficiency in TypeScript and modern frontend development.
Experience with REST / GraphQL APIs.
Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and MVC architecture.
Familiarity with AWS EC2, Lambda, and S3 for frontend integrations.
Hands-on experience with logging and monitoring tools: Dynatrace, New Relic, Grafana, and Datadog.

Nice to Have:

Experience with SEO optimization techniques for React and Next.js applications, including server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG), and dynamic rendering.
Knowledge of Core Web Vitals and strategies to improve page load speed.
Familiarity with structured data (Schema.org), meta tags, and Open Graph protocols to enhance search visibility.
Understanding of CDNs, caching strategies, and prefetching techniques for optimal performance.
