We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Retail Operations Area Manager to oversee the performance, customer experience, and operational excellence of multiple retail outlets within the assigned region. The role will focus on ensuring consistent brand standards, driving sales growth, optimizing store operations, and leading store teams to deliver exceptional customer service.Key Responsibilities1. Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day operations across all assigned retail stores.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs for inventory, merchandising, hygiene, cash handling, and customer engagement.
- Monitor and maintain adherence to visual merchandising and brand identity guidelines.
- Implement and monitor standard processes for loss prevention, shrinkage control, and stock accuracy.
- Drive sales targets and profitability across stores.
- Analyze store performance metrics (footfall, conversion, AOV, LFL sales, etc.) and take corrective action.
- Launch and execute promotions, seasonal campaigns, and local store activations.
- Recruit, train, and mentor store managers and frontline staff.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and develop growth plans for team members.
- Motivate teams to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality customer service delivery.
- Handle escalated customer issues and implement long-term solutions.
- Gather customer feedback to improve product assortment and service quality.
- Provide weekly and monthly operational reports on sales, expenses, staffing, and store compliance.
- Collaborate with central functions (supply chain, marketing, HR, and finance) to align retail operations with business goals.
- Suggest process improvements and tech adoption to increase efficiency.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of retail KPIs and operations.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability.
- Effective communicator with ability to manage diverse teams.
- Customer-centric approach with passion for retail excellence.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/POS systems, and reporting tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / Retail Management / related field. MBA preferred.
- 5–8 years of experience in retail operations, with at least 2–3 years in a multi-store supervisory role.
- Experience in FMCG / food & beverage / lifestyle / specialty retail is an advantage.
- Proven ability to drive sales growth and operational efficiency.
