We serve as key technical enablers, building automation and self-service capabilities that streamline operations across the organisation.Our Cloud Platform Team thrives on making complex systems accessible to others, with a passion for removing technical barriers and enabling teams to focus on their core objectives rather than infrastructure challenges. You'll live and breathe cloud technologies and platform engineering. Since this is a platform role building tools for internal customers, you need deep expertise in core AWS services, understand their integration patterns, and know how to architect secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions.Your role in the Team's SuccessWe're seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer who's passionate about building the cloud foundation that powers innovation at scale. You'll build and automate our multi-cloud platform (AWS, GCP), creating the self-service tools and landing zones that enable hundreds of developers to ship faster, safer, and smarter.Manage the cloud environments, formalise them using IAC, and connect with the on-prem infrastructure.Provide tools for continuous delivery, management, and audit of the AWS/GCP cloud.Create automation of repetitive processes, and hand them over to the development teamsWhat you'll doDesign and implement automated cloud infrastructure provisioning and management processesBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps toolchains for accelerated software deliveryDevelop Infrastructure as Code templates using Terraform, CDK, or similar toolsEstablish and maintain secure, scalable landing zones in AWS (primary) and GCPCreate self-service platforms and automation tools for internal development teamsDefine and implement comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and observability solutionsCollaborate with development and operations teams to solve complex technical challengesEnsure cloud security best practices and compliance requirements are metDocument technical architectures, processes, and runbooks for knowledge sharingProvide technical leadership and mentorship to team membersWhat you'll need for this role10+ years of total experience with at least 4 years designing and managing complex cloud infrastructure platforms in AWS4+ years hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CDK, Pulumi, CloudFormation)Strong DevSecOps expertise: CI/CD pipelines, GitOps, container security, and automationDeep understanding of cloud networking: VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateways, VPN, hybrid connectivityProficiency in scripting languages (Python, Go, or Bash)Proven track record in building secure container images and managing container registriesKey Competencies:Ability to drive technology standardisation and automation initiatives at scaleStrong documentation and communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholdersLeadership mindset with the ability to influence and guide cross-functional teamsProblem-solving orientation with focus on building reusable, scalable solutionsTechnical Skills:Expert-level knowledge of AWS services (EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.)Experience with DevOps tools: Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, Artifactory, or equivalentStrong understanding of IaaS and PaaS architectural patternsExperience implementing monitoring and observability solutions (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)Knowledge of security best practices, compliance frameworks, and cloud governancePreferred Qualifications:AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional certificationand certificationExperience building cloud landing zones and multi-account strategiesBackground in financial services or regulated industriesExperience with Kubernetes administration in cloud and hybrid environmentsThe perksMatched giving for your fundraising activityFlexible working hours and work-from-home opportunitiesPerformance-related bonusesInsurance and medical plansCareer-focused technical and leadership trainings in-class and online, incl. unlimited access to LinkedIn Learning platformContribution to gym memberships and moreA day off on your birthdayTwo days volunteering leave per year And others.How we workWe try to take a thoughtful approach to our ways of working as a company.
