MEP Site engineer

• Installation, commissioning and testing of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & ELV, HVAC & Plumbing) activities at site.
• Checking that MEP work is carried out as per approved drawing by the Contractors and verifies the accuracy of drawings and their compliance to the specification, consultant’s design, and existing local authority standard.
• Supervising and monitoring the MEP contractors on site w.r.t their work in progress v/s work schedule and solving all MEP related problems.
• Ensuring availability of Stock and Material requirement at site and maintaining Quality and Safety at site of the work execution.
• Ensuring that the highest quality of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction work is in accordance with project specific cost and schedule requirements.
• Should have working knowledge of Electrical / ELV / Fire Fighting / HVAC Systems & plumbing / Partition,
• Should have working Knowledge of Construction Management, Best delivery skills
• Should be able to manage multiple contractors and agencies.
• Should have ability to plan construction / MEP activities, coordinate for GFC drawings, work plans, etc
• MEP Conceptual Knowledge & design understanding are an added advantage.
• Weekly report and maintaining all related documents to track and estimate on going MEP works. Coordinate installation schedule with team members and other departments working on the project.
• Planning the work to be done on daily basis and addressing it to the contractors.
• Maintain record of materials received and used. The materials required in the coming days for work and following it with the purchase team.
• Ensure that the Inspection department approves fittings, ducts, water pipes, and other accessories before the installation begins.
• Deliver all tools required for the fitting including power tools, hand tools, scaffolding, and ladder on time and in the exact numbers as mentioned in the list.
• Monitor site activities and make sure all rules and regulations are followed. Making reports on daily progress made at work and ensuring it reaches the superiors.
• Ensure safe construction of MEP maintenance according to rules and regulations set by the safety policy manual by the company. They will have to ensure the protection and safety equipment is 100 per cent tried and tested for safe use.
• Arrange labour and other professionals including pipe fitter, duct fitter and assistant duct fitter. They also act as a supervisor for the installation and maintenance project.
• Additional responsibilities include having to arrange for the safety gear and equipment they need to do their work.
