Our expertise extends to multimodal transport solutions, customs clearance, port security, and environmental sustainability, positioning us as a key player in global trade and logistics.Job Purpose: The Head of IR at Ports Industry site oversees labour compliance, dispute resolution, negotiations, and fosters collaboration, while enhancing engagement and managing conflicts for operational efficiency.Responsibilities:Union Negotiations and Collective Bargaining:Lead negotiations with unions to achieve agreements that ensure industrial harmony and benefit both parties.Labour Relations Management:Ensure compliance with labour laws and maintain harmonious workforce relations in the port industry.Dispute Resolution:Lead efforts to resolve workplace disputes through effective negotiation and mediation strategies.Grievance management:Develop and oversee a grievance redressal mechanism to address employee concerns promptly, effectively & analyze patterns of grievances to identify systemic issues and recommend corrective measures.Liasoning:Serve as a primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including labor authorities, local administration, community representatives & represent the organization in external forums related to industrial relations and labor management.Agreement Negotiation:Drive the negotiation of labour agreements to align with organizational goals while fostering collaborative employee relations.Employee Engagement Programs:Develop and implement programs to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction within the organization.Management-Employee Relations:Maintain productive relations between management and employees to support operational effectiveness.Compliance Oversight:Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant labour laws and regulations within the port industry.Reporting and Analytics:Develop and present comprehensive IR and ER reports, leveraging data analytics to provide insights on workforce trends, compliance, grievances, and resolutions to support strategic decision-making.Brand Positioning:Uphold Adani's brand values in all interactions and build strong relationships to fortify brand trust and loyalty.Digital Mindset:Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness.Team Development:Promote a respectful and safe workplace, lead collaborative and productive teams, and mentor for growth and success.Key Stakeholders - Internal:CPO- APSEZAll BU and department headsSite HR and peersDirect ReportsUnion Representatives,Key Stakeholders - External:Regulatory Authorities, Industry Associations, Legal Advisors, Training and Development VendorsQualifications:Education Qualification:Post-Graduate in any discipline (preferably HR)Work Experience:10 to 17 years of relevant experience in industrial relations, labour management, or HR within large-scale operations.
