As a core member of our Data Operations, Market Data team, you will be working with some of the industry's most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures that our clients can depend upon. Data Operations, Market Data Business Group (MDBG) works with the Middle Office and Back Office teams in all of our offices to ensure the accuracy of listed security reference and pricing data. The team necessitates knowledge of financial instruments and xeo to investigate issues relating to xeo functionality and instrument reference and pricing data. Some of these issues include accounting reconciliation, accrued interest investigation, research on new security types and how a security is set up or functions within xeo Excellence (CoE) locations. Position Overview The Analyst is part of the front-line function within Market Data and is responsible for meeting the deliverables of the group to both internal and external clients. The Analyst reports to the Supervisor and will be required to develop an understanding of the fundamentals of accounting, security master and data processing. The successful candidate will have the ability to follow processes and have a fundamental understanding of complex financial instruments. As a member of this team, the Analyst is responsible for management of all aspects of automating and processing this data. The Analyst is expected to have knowledge of Hedge funds, accounting and its associated financial instruments. This team is expected to be able to resolve data issues based on an understanding of the overall lifecycle of a trade. Your Role Troubleshoot daily issues that arise regarding vendor data and xeo's application of that data Analyze and correct anomalies in both vendor provided data as well as broker and client data Recognize patterns of issues and create requests to the IT staff for solutions Position reports into the Vice President of the group Gather requirements from clients for and work with development on projects relating to market and instrument data, particularly new instruments coming to market. Work as liaison for clients with Citco Data Services Helpdesk, the group that actually adds securities to our proprietary accounting system About You Education and Experience Bachelor or master level degree in accounting, finance, business, economics or other relevant professional designation (CFA, CGA, CMA, CA, CPA); 1-3 years' experience in Financial Services with an exposure to operations and Market Data Product knowledge in the following: US, Global, Fixed Income, commodities and derivatives Familiarity with Bloomberg and/or Reuters terminals and bulk reference data Good problem-solving skills. Candidates need to understand root cause of problems highlighted by internal teams and address accordingly Experience with Market Data is preferred with understanding of security masters and pricing masters. Non-Technical Qualifications Ability to manage multiple tasks including; project tasks, deadlines, etc. Ability to interact with clients, vendors for support and information Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation are necessary. Must be customer service oriented, flexible and adaptable. Strong attention to detail Must be able to work with minimal supervision Working Hours and Location Work hours normally run on a 24x5 hour basis per operational requirements.
