Duty Medical Officer

- Attend to OP/IP patients and assess their condition
- Provide initial diagnosis and stabilization, especially in emergencies
- Monitor vital signs and progress of admitted patients
- Respond quickly to casualty/emergency cases
- Perform basic life support (BLS) / advanced life support (ALS) when required
- Coordinate with specialists for critical care cases
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Prepare case sheets, discharge summaries, and reports
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and legal standards
- Work closely with consultants, nurses, and paramedical staff
- Facilitate patient admissions, transfers, and referrals
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families
- Prescribe medications within hospital guidelines
- Assist in minor procedures if required
- Follow infection control and safety practices
- MBBS degree (mandatory)
- Valid Medical Council registration
- Internship completion
- Experience in hospital/emergency care (preferred but not always mandatory)
- Shift-based duty (including night shifts)
- Fast-paced hospital environment
- Exposure to emergency and critical cases
