- Manages regional accounts or sections within large global accounts.
- Manages client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle and identifying areas for future account growth.
- Manages business development activity within assigned engagements, working with client leads to deliver against key account plans.
- Scopes project opportunities and prices projects.
- Manages large, complex projects, ensuring seamless delivery of the project in line with client timelines and expectations.
- Manages the internal project team, to include global teams as necessary.
- Supports the development of project team members by aligning development needs to project deliverables and facilitating a feedback culture.
- Identifies project risks and puts in place plans to mitigate these.
- Oversees the production of all deliverables and ensures robust analysis and commercial application of all analysis to client context.
- Manages delivery of project according to plan and within project budget, incl. key milestones, delivery timelines, review sessions, with an eye for available capacity and for potential issues and risks
- Acting as a Development Manager, ensures the continual development of team members.
- Manages all aspects of performance of team members, to include performance management, performance review, development and career planning, etc.
- Manages any underperformance issues promptly and in line with company policy.
- Supports the rollout of global change initiatives.
- Becomes involved in at least one regional or global internal initiative.
- Deep familiarity, and in-market experience, with the global pharmaceutical market, through 8+ years of recent life-science / management consulting experience, with company recognized as leading in its field
- Possessing a postgraduate or advanced degree in life sciences (preferably pharma, medicine, or biotechnology), or a relevant field.
- Track record of professional success, with successive stages of advancement/ promotion
- Robust knowledge and several years of recent and hands-on experience working on Competitive Intelligence, Commercial Strategy and/or Market Access projects
- Proven Leadership skills (functional, team, client, accounts, offerings, etc.)
- Experience in developing and marketing thought leadership, e.g., white papers, conference presentations, or industry journal articles
- Commercial network that can be activated in target pharma
- Depth in one or more of the following therapeutic areas
- Oncology
- Neurology
- Vaccines
- Immunology
- Cell & Gene
- Rare Disease
- Publications, conference presentations
- Exceptional command of written and verbal English
- Experience managing complex projects which are strategic in nature.
- Line management experience
- Highly proficient in MS Office (to include Excel and PowerPoint)
- Possesses a strong understanding of the life sciences / pharma industry, to include recent trends, developments, and current challenges
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to build relationships both internally and externally at all levels
- Ability to manage difficult conversations with ease
- Excellent communication skills, to include writing and presentation skills.
- Demonstrates a commercial mindset, able to identify business development opportunities.
