This role is part of the Foundational Platform Engineering (FPE) and work with DevOps part of Data Integration team.WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORWe’re looking for a Software Engineer II (AWS DevOps) to join our Data Integration team (DI) .The DI team relies on strong architecture and leadership guidance for Data Integrations and platforms. We serve business and engineering teams across Nike, Inc globally to help fuel our digital transformation. This position will be based in the Bangalore “Nike India Technology Center” (NITCL).This role is part of Foundational Platform Engineering (FPE), data integration platforms aggressively innovate solutions to drive growth while creating and implementing tools that help make everything else in the company possible. The candidate needs to have a strong understanding of technical concepts, excellent attention to detail, data accuracy, and data analysis, strong verbal and written communication skills, and be self-motivated and operates with a high sense of urgency and a high level of integrity.Key Skills & Traits:Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field3-5 years relevant professional experienceProficient in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Puppet, CircleCI and RunDeckExperience in building large-scale, production grade, cloud native softwareProficient in Terraform and cloudformation for managing AWS resourcesStrong knowledge in writing/maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC)Working experience in AWS technologies including but not limited to EC2, EKS, ECS,Lambda, S3 and RDSStrong hands-on experience in KubernetesStrong Shell and/or Python development experienceProficient understanding of code versioning using Git (GitHub)Strong hands-on experience in Linux (RHEL & OL) and Automation first mindsetExperience in distributed software monitoring, application performance monitoring & its visual representation.Communicating with vendors and customers in a courteous and professional manner with strong critical thinkingGreat communication skillsWillingness to learn data integration technologies like Informatica, Airflow, EDI and Axway MFTDesire to work both independently as well as on a team to create solutions to complex problems for customersGood to have:Certifications –AWS Certified SysOps Administrator (SOA-C02)/DevOps Engineer Professional (DOP-C01)AND/ORHashiCorp Certified: Terraform AssociateCertified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)Experience in data integration technologies like Informatica, Airflow, EDI/B2Bi and Axway MFTWHAT YOU’LL WORK ONAs a Software Engineer II, you will play a crucial role in shaping, modernizing, and scaling Nike’s DevOps platform while also driving innovation and automation within our ecosystem.Platform Responsibilities:Take ownership of building CI/CD pipelines for various data integration platformsBuild controls and code quality checks within deployment pipelinesBuild custom scripts and automations which are deemed necessary for improving security, reliability, maintainability, availability, and performance for our platformsParticipate on building self-service capabilities for customerCreate and Update existing Puppet and Terraform code repos as neededManage deployment mechanisms and deployments for 10+ teams, acting as a gate keeperSkill set on any monitoring or observability toolParticipate in weekly rotation on call schedule if neededBe comfortable working in a culturally and geographically diverse organizationManaging multiple competing priorities across 10+ unique and independent productsLead tasks including planning and execution for complex projects and programsExperience with participating in projects in a highly collaborative, multi-discipline development team environmentExposure to Agile, ideally a strong background with the SAFe methodologySkill set on any monitoring or observability tool
