JD details:Location- Chennai,Mumbai,Pune,Noida,Hyderabad.The Digital Workplace Services team is seeking an experienced Windows Desktop OS Engineer with deep expertise in Windows OS internals, low-level troubleshooting from both OS and hardware perspective, strong PowerShell scripting proficiency, and experience with SCCM and Intune. The role requires a proactive approach to taking ownership of the engineering lifecycle and driving delivery to support critical business projects.Key Responsibilities
  • Ownership and Delivery Execution
  • Lead Windows engineering initiatives, taking full ownership of technical solutions and project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align system implementations with business objectives.
  • Assist with engineering knowledge transfer to internal engineering and operational peers.
  • Produce first-rate technical documentation.
  • Windows OS Management and Optimization
  • Maintain, configure and optimize Windows-based systems for performance and reliability.
  • Conduct detailed analysis and troubleshooting of OS-level and hardware related issues.
  • Low-Level troubleshooting
  • Perform root cause analysis of complex failures, kernel-level debugging, and performance tuning.
  • Diagnose hardware compatibility issues and optimize system interactions.
  • Automation and PowerShell Scripting
  • Develop and implement PowerShell scripts for automation, configuration management, and workflow enhancements.
  • Improve operational efficiency by automating deployment and system updates.
  • Security Framework and Compliance
  • Implement and maintain endpoint security configurations to mitigate risks and vulnerabilities.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows OS internals, registry configurations, and driver management.
  • Strong low-level troubleshooting skills, covering both OS and hardware-level diagnostics.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and systems management.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft SCCM and Intune for endpoint management and policy distribution.
  • Detailed understanding of AutoPilot provisioning and modern device lifecycle management.
  • Solid understanding of security frameworks and best practices for Windows desktop environments.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and authentication mechanisms.
  • Experience with Zscaler secure cloud-based access and zero-trust security.
  • Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive mindset.
  • Ability to work in a highly regulated enterprise environment with strict security controls.
