About the Role:We are looking for a seasoned and results-oriented Sales Leader (GM/DGM) to spearhead our business development initiatives in the Railway vertical. The ideal candidate will bring deep industry insights, strong B2B sales acumen, and a proven track record in driving revenue growth within the Wire & Cable sector. If you are passionate about strategy, sales leadership, and expanding market presence, we’d love to connect with you.Key Responsibilities:Develop and execute a strategic sales roadmap for the Railway vertical, aligned with business objectivesLead and manage the entire sales lifecycle – from lead generation and proposal development to deal closure and client servicingBuild and manage long-term relationships with key accounts, government bodies (e.g., Indian Railways), EPCs, consultants, and channel partnersIdentify and capitalize on emerging business opportunities in the Railway segment (including Metro, High-Speed Rail, Electrification, Signalling, etc.)Guide, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team; set clear goals and performance KPIsConduct regular market analysis to track competition, pricing, customer needs, and regulatory developmentsCollaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Commercial, and Technical teams to ensure customer satisfaction and product alignmentDrive participation in tenders, strategic alliances, and consortium-based projectsEnsure adherence to commercial policies, risk assessment protocols, and contract management proceduresRequirements15+ years of experience in Sales/Business Development, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership roleStrong background in Railway projects and B2B industrial sales, preferably within the Wire & Cable industryDemonstrated experience in handling large institutional clients and government procurement processesSolid understanding of railway procurement, approvals, vendor registration, and technical specificationsProven ability to lead and motivate a sales team across regionsStrong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skillsAnalytical mindset with a proactive and hands-on leadership styleWillingness to travel frequently as per business needsPreferred Qualifications:BE/B.Tech in Electrical or related fieldMBA in Sales/Marketing/Business Management from a reputed instituteFamiliarity with IR/CORE/RDSO specifications and tendering process is a strong advantage
