Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of complex solutions, coding larger features from start to finish
Actively participate in planning, and performing code and architecture reviews of their teams product
Help ensure the quality and integrity of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for their team and identify opportunities for improvement in how the team works, through usage of recommended tools and practices
Lead the triage of complex production issues across systems
Demonstrate creativity and take initiative in solving complex problems
As a high performer, consistently deliver a high volume of story points relative to their team
Aware of the technology landscape, plan delivery of coarse-grained business needs spanning multiple applications
Influence technical peers outside their team
Set a consistent example of agile development practices and coach other engineers to work as a team with Product and Experience Design (XD)
Create and improve internal libraries and tools
Provide technical leadership on the product and determine technical approach
Proactively communicate status and issues to their manager
Collaborate with other teams to find creative solutions to customer issues
Show a commitment to delivery deadlines, in particular seasonal and vendor partner deadlines that are critical to Best Buys continued success

Requirements

7+ years of relevant experience with a bachelors degree OR equivalent relevant professional experience. Including:

3+ years of experience with native Android and/or iOS development
2+ years of experience developing AR/VR features or applications using platforms such as ARKit, ARCore
3+ years of experience with Mobile App development using frameworks like React Native
2+ years of experience with unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD pipelines

Preferred

Good understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns
Prior experience withWeb development using TypeScript, and frameworks like React
Experience building backend systems in either:

Java with Spring/Spring Boot, OR
C# with .NET Core / .NET 6+
Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and HTTP protocols
Good understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate, Entity Framework)
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Solid practical understanding of - JS Thread, Native Threads, etc.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile AR/VR apps
Experience with Performance Tuning - Optimization for rendering, battery usage, motion latency, and gyroscope sensor input
Knowledge of immersive VR (e.g., room-scale or controller-based apps), and React NativeUnity bridging

This position is based in Bengaluru.
