Qualifications & ExperienceFirst-class Master’s degree (MBA/PGDM with minimum 55% from an AICTE-approved institution)PhD in Management/Business Administration (completed or in final stages preferred)Minimum 10+ years of experience in teaching/research/industryAt least 5 years at Associate Professor level or equivalentPrior academic leadership/administrative experience is mandatory with BBA Global Business or BBA Accountancy, Taxation & Audit.Role Overview
The HOD will lead the BBA (Global Business) and BBA (Accountancy, Taxation & Auditing) programs, ensuring academic excellence, curriculum innovation, and strong student outcomes. The role requires a strategic leader who can build a global mindset among students while strengthening domain expertise in finance, taxation, and auditing.Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic Leadership & Curriculum DevelopmentLead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of both programsEnsure a multidisciplinary curriculum covering global business dynamics, macroeconomic concepts, and geopolitical factorsAlign curriculum with industry standards and professional pathways (e.g., CA)Promote experiential learning through case studies, simulations, and industry exposureFaculty Management & DevelopmentRecruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty to maintain high teaching standardsEncourage research, industry collaboration, and continuous faculty developmentBuild a collaborative and performance-driven academic environmentStudent Development & OutcomesDevelop students’ analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilitiesFoster a global mindset and strong understanding of international businessStrengthen skills in accounting, taxation, auditing, and financial analysis.Enhance communication, interpersonal, and professional skillsIndustry & Academic CollaborationBuild partnerships with industry and academic bodiesFacilitate internships, live projects, and placementsSupport pathways for professional certifications such as Chartered Accountancy (CA)Operational & Administrative ResponsibilitiesOversee departmental planning, budgeting, and resource allocationEnsure compliance with academic regulations and accreditation standardsMonitor program performance and drive continuous improvementRepresent the department in academic and leadership forumsKey CompetenciesStrategic thinking and academic leadershipStrong understanding of global business and financial systemsExcellent communication and stakeholder managementAbility to drive innovation and industry integration
