- Design, estimate, and develop fire suppression systems, including clean agent-based systems (e.g., FK 5112, HFC 227ea, Inert gas), total flooding/local application systems, kitchen suppression systems, etc., tailored to client specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications using CAD and other design software.
- Conduct flow calculations (UL, VDS, etc.) and system performance analyses to ensure optimal design efficiency.
- Review project requirements and provide technical support during installation and commissioning phases.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including project engineers, architects, and consultants, to deliver integrated fire protection solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and codes (e.g., NFPA, EN, VDS, UL, FM, local fire codes).
- Assist in preparing tender documents, cost estimates, and technical proposals.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices in fire suppression systems.
- Conduct site visits and inspections as required to support project progress and resolve design-related issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to clients and team members clearly.
- Proven experience in designing gas-based fire suppression systems such as FK 5112, HFC 227ea, and inert gas systems, preferably within industrial or commercial sectors.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.) and flow calculation tools like UL and VDS.
- Strong knowledge of fire protection standards such as NFPA, VDS, EN, UL, FM, and local fire safety regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in the design and estimation of gas-based fire suppression systems, including flow calculations, AutoCAD drafting, or other related functions.
