- Grow, develop and integrate the Subsea Systemteam from the Chennai office.
Co-ordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including sub-surface, drilling, flow assurance, facilities and project managers, to develop integrated project plans and strategies.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and challenges, and implement appropriate mitigation measures to ensure project success.Subsea System Design:Develop and review subsea engineering designs, specifications, and procedures, including subsea hardware,flowlines, umbilicals, and risers.
Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to evaluate and select appropriate subsea equipment and materials.
Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analysis to ensure the integrity and reliability of subsea systems.Team Management and Mentorship:Lead and manage a team of subsea engineers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting knowledge sharingand continuous learning among team members.
Identify training and development needs within the team and facilitate appropriate training programs to enhance their skills and competencies.HSE Compliance:
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations throughout subsea engineering activities.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate measures to mitigate potential hazards and minimise operational risks.
- Investigate incidents and near misses and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, preferably in mechanical, civil, chemical, electrical or subsea engineering.
- Extensive experience in subsea engineering within the oil and gas industry, including a proven track record in leading subsea projects.
- The ability to manage the delivery of engineering documents and drawings describing the subsea system within agreed project timelines and budgets and expected quality requirements.
- Knowledge of those components typically comprising a subsea system including subsea hardware, subsea controls, pipelines, risers and umbilcals.
- Knowledge of subsea systems during different phases of operation including pre- commissioning, commissioning, normal operation, maintenance and repair.
- Understanding of those engineering disciplines which subsea systems need to interact with including flow assurance, process, technical safety, environmental, materials, sub-surface, drilling, facilities, etc.St
- rong knowledge of subsea engineering principles, subsea systems, and relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., API, ISO).
- Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritise tasks, and deliver results within deadlines and budget constraints.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and contractors.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on finding innovative and practical solutions to complex subsea engineering challenges.
- Sound understanding of HSE regulations and a commitment to promoting a safe working environment.
