- Candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate input and maintenance employee payroll data. Reviewing payroll results of either medium sized 3-4 payrolls or large size 1-2 payrolls for accuracy, inputs discrepancies, reasonableness and final resolution of issues encountered.
- The position will be responsible for formalizing and uploading files for deductions, tax computations, and other pay-period payments / adjustments. Job duties include, creating electronic disbursement bank files and net pay remittance files, balancing outbound files and generating payroll reports to downstream systems or departments as necessary..
- The position will focus on scheduled performance of payroll tasks, using tools and systems such as SAP for time and attendance information and payroll processing, Forms+, Service Now, File-net for audit trails and documentation and mailbox handling and supporting employee queries for overall control and timely delivery of payrolls within the team setting working closely with other team members.
- The position will require assisting other less experienced team members in performance of tasks and duties of the group.
- Candidate must apply sound financial analysis concepts beyond the simple adherence to detailed procedures and instructions, recommending solutions to unusual problems. Assignments call for strong judgment and resourcefulness, along with timely responsiveness to resolve problems where solutions are not obvious. Assist with functional testing and providing feedback and support for system design changes and enhancements.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution with a major in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- Minimum 4 to 6 years of applicable payroll work experience, preferably of Indian Payroll and related compliances.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Payroll Processing and/or General Ledger accounting systems, processes, and controls.
- SAP Payroll system experience.
- Conversant with various countries (preferably India) payroll tax, and social security rules and regulations.
- Ability to work on MS-Excel for various ad-hoc analysis activities.
- Must have legal right to work in New Delhi, India without sponsorship.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English at an intermediate proficiency level.
- CPA and/or payroll specialist or other similar certifications.
- Experience with a large multi-national corporation and multi-country overseas payroll processing.
- Able to efficiently organize work activities to meet daily and weekly timelines.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Self-starter able to use sound business judgment in carrying out assigned tasks.
- Higher level of experience with same skillset.
- SAP Payroll Systems or Equivalent-Intermediate.
- Time and attendance Reporting Systems- Intermediate.
- Oracle General Ledger Accounting System-Basic to Intermediate.
- Microsoft Office Suite-Intermediate.
- Other Reporting & Database system tools-Basic to Intermediate.
- Accounting functions & processes -Intermediate.
- Payroll controls environment--Intermediate.
- Payroll tax & benefits (National/Overseas countries)--Intermediate.
