Work with colleagues across with other areas within Finance and Risk to support delivery of financial Reporting in line with regulatory deadlines.
Collect, clean, and pre-process large datasets from various sources.
Analyse data from across the Performance landscape to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, so it can be used to provide valuable insights in order to drive better client outcomes.
Ideate and provide solutions in manipulation of data using Python / Power BI or any other Tools that’s within the scope of M&G Technology.
Support UAT Testing E2E and ensure Production Readiness.
Fully document process-level controls and embed controls dashboarding for model points production.
Understand and appreciate the requirement of model points team; liaise with multiple stakeholders including but not limited to Diligenta and auditors.
Delivers outputs that are clearly defined, using discretion over how to achieve them
Provide specialist technical advice and guidance on the application of Finance data management principles/tools to support business objectives, coaching and guiding less experienced members within the team.
Provide support for ad hoc data analysis requests including investigation of data issues, subset or amended datasets, and bespoke analysis on individual products.
Active Involvement in Project calls and meetings and provide appropriate support. Also highlight any concerns or issues impacting the BAU.
Responsible for responding to queries from internal and external auditors accurately and in a timely manner.

Additional Responsibilities :

Maintain and develop knowledge of technical requirements of job together with the framework in which M&G India operates.
Seek and act on opportunities to develop wider and deeper technical and business understanding including use of data in actuarial modelling by our stakeholders
Ability to develop clear, workable plans for self; monitor progress; ensure deadlines and commitments are met
Works within established frameworks and procedures, with the freedom to interpret them to solve a range of problems
Ability to confidently express own viewpoint and to clearly and simply communicate actuarial issues within their team
Compliance – Ensure understanding and adherence to M&G Global Services’ Code of Conduct and, where appropriate, comply with all relevant regulatory policies. This includes completion of any mandatory training requirements
Performance Management – follow and contribute to the recognised Performance Management process
Ability to plan and prioritise own workload
Ability to deliver on multiple tasks to demanding timescales
Communicate effectively with others, develop positive networks and working relationships

Knowledge & Skills (Must Have) :

Good technical Data Analytical knowledge, with attention to detail
Motivated and willing to take responsibility and ownership of the work assigned
Demonstrable experience of problem solving and providing practical solutions to complex problems
Some valuation experience of UK life insurance and annuity products would be an advantage
Strong documentations skills.
Strong commercial and collaboration skills
Good technical actuarial knowledge, with attention to detail
Working Knowledge of VBA, Power BI, SQL, Advanced Excel, Data Analysis is required. Python knowledge would be added advantage.

Knowledge & Skills (Additional) :

Knowledge of the business and/ or Solvency II and/ or IFRS financial reporting experience would be an advantage, however on-the-job training will be provided to successful candidate.

Experience:

6-9 years of relevant Data Analytics experience
Past experience of working on Data Modelling, Data Wrangling or monitoring is an added advantage
Experience of working on Financial Services would be desirable

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree
Any Data Analyst Certifications would be an advantage.
