- Craft clear, concise, and engaging messaging for our product, ensuring alignment with brand voice and style guidelines.
- Establish and implement standards for the tone and voice of our product by writing a comprehensive best practices guide that can be socialized across the product organization.
- Identify areas of improvement for language in our product. Recommend, test, and validate those changes.
- Align product language with marketing language by maintaining consistent terminology and using clear, compelling language that resonates with our audience.
- Review and edit content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality across all user touchpoints.
- In conjunction with our technical writing team, manage our product glossary of terms, disambiguating synonymous terminology and ensuring consistent usage throughout the product.
- Ensure content meets accessibility standards (WCAG), inclusive language practices, and global usability needs.
- Help build trust and transparency in AI-driven experiences through explainable, ethical, and user-friendly language.
- Partner with legal, security, and compliance teams as needed to ensure accuracy without compromising usability.
- Collaborate and work closely with product designers, project managers, developers, and leadership to ensure the adoption of best practices, ensuring that Rubrik's product messaging remains clear and consistent. Understand user needs, pain points, and behaviors, translating insights into effective copy.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Technical Writing, or equivalent practical experience is a plus.
- 5 to 7 years of UX writing or content design experience with a strong portfolio.
- Experience working on enterprise B2B products; exposure to cybersecurity, SaaS, or data-heavy platforms is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with AI/Agentic AI concepts, intelligent assistants, or in-product guidance systems is highly desirable.
- A portfolio of UX-focused writing samples and style guidelines.
- Experience with accessibility best practices in relation to content.
- Passion for getting things done the 'right way' and in a consistent manner across the product.
- Comfort with ambiguity; you enjoy figuring out what needs to be done-and then doing it!
- Approach problems with curiosity and excitement to learn and grow your skills.
- Strong verbal, presentation, conflict resolution, and written communication skills.
- UX writing and content design case studies showing problem definition, content strategy, and outcomes.
- Examples of microcopy, onboarding flows, empty states, error messages, and system guidance.
- Collaboration examples with designers, researchers, and product partners.
- Evidence of impact (e.g., reduced user errors, improved task success, increased clarity or adoption).
