You will be working as a Production Supervisor at global grade 15 and will be part of Electrification Business Area for Distribution Solutions division based in Nashik, India. In this role you will be reporting to Operations Manager and will be responsible for ensuring efficient and cost-effective production results that meet order demand, specifications, quality and planning targets through the coordination and management of plant equipment, personnel and production processes (quantity, quality, budgeted costs and proper productivity level). Your responsibilities Preparing annual production budget, overseeing progress and determining actions to cost issues as necessary in order to manage operations within the budget and resources Developing programs, projects, goals and metrics to lead the organization to the highest level of operational performance while optimizing working capital throughout operations Developing and executing plans to reduce non-value-added costs, increasing revenues and delight customers by delivering products on time with high factory, supplier yields and decreasing product field failure rates Ensuring that Four Quadrants (4Q) program training and methods are implemented in the organization Overseeing the creation of manufacturing subcontracts and managing the subcontractor jointly with other involved disciplines, including Supply chain management (e.g., subcontract employees are provided guidance on health, safety requirements, work practices and issued permits to work) Providing support to the Sales team as required during customer visits to explain the capabilities of the manufacturing facilities Collaborating with operational excellence teams to integrate lean manufacturing principles into production processes Your background Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering Minimum 3 to 8 years of experience in Production Knowledge on budget and performance management, quality assurance and excellence Knowledge on resource management and capacity planning More about us ABB's Distribution Solutions Division provides utility, industrial and commercial customers with safe, smart and sustainable technologies for the distribution of electricity.
