Role: Senior Manager – Maintenance (Paint Shop)Purpose of the Role: The Senior Manager is accountable for the strategic leadership of Electrical & Electronics maintenance, process automation (PLC, Drives, SCADA, Industrial IT), and technology innovation in the Paint Shop. This role ensures equipment availability, drives digital transformation (Industry 4.0), and oversees new project execution, risk mitigation, and team capability development to align with business goals. The position requires cross-functional collaboration to enhance maintenance efficiency, cost optimization, and safety compliance.Key Responsibilities•Strategic Planning & Process Excellence
  • Lead technology selection, standardization, and automation frameworks for Paint Shop operations.
  • Drive predictive maintenance (CBM) and TPM initiatives to improve MTBF/MTTR targets.
  • Develop SOPs, HIRA, and WIS to ensure compliance with TML safety standards.
  • Spearhead Industry 4.0 projects (IoT, AI/ML) for process optimization.
Operational Leadership
  • Oversee preventive/corrective maintenance of PLCs (Mitsubishi/Allen Bradley), VFDs, robotics (Yaskawa), and industrial networks (CC Link).
  • Manage contingency plans for critical automation systems to minimize downtime.
  • Optimize spare parts inventory and cost-control initiatives.
  • Ensure root cause analysis (RCA) using problem-solving techniques (5Why, FMEA).
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
  • Collaborate with OEMs, vendors, and central teams for technical support and new asset installation.
  • Partner with Manufacturing, SAP, and IDM teams to streamline workflows.
  • Mentor teams on skill development and best practices in automation.
Stakeholder Interactions•Internal: Factory leadership, Central Planning, Safety, and Procurement teams for budgeting, CAPEX planning, and compliance.
  • External: OEMs (e.g., Mitsubishi, Siemens), service vendors, and technology partners for innovation and troubleshooting.
Desired Candidate ProfileEducation: Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
Experience: 8–12 years in Paint Shop automation.
Technical Skills:
  • Expert in PLC programming, robotics (Yaskawa), and industrial networks.
  • Proven track record in Industry 4.0/digital transformation.
  • Hands-on with SAP PM, TPM, and predictive maintenance tools.
Leadership: Ability to manage teams, budgets, and CAPEX projects.
Certifications: PMP, TPM, or Six Sigma (preferred).Skills & CompetenciesFunctional:
