- Designing/detailing and plotting of machine components.
- Checking of drawings made by team members, applying GD & T in all the drawings where necessary.
- Use national and international standards while designing components and products.
- Incorporating online changes in design with review Co ordination with related departments.
- Preparation of Exploded views in 3D cad software.
- Interact with marketing team and client at the time of project kick-off to set forth design objectives
- and specifications.
- Improving design turnaround time from kick-off to finalization by automation of processes.
- Supporting new product development efforts.
- Managing motivation levels of the team and skill building of team members.
- Manage the repository of designs in DocSmart to ensure all changes are captured.
- Graduate Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering preferably with Masters degree in Machine Design.
- Experience : 7-12 years of which a bulk of experience in designing machines to the Pharma Sector
- Good communication, positive attitude and perseverance.
- Designing and detailing of machine assemblies and individual parts using Ideas Nx , AUTO CAD and
- similar 2D/3D drafting tools.
- Knowledge of Machine Design components and application.
- Geometric Dimensioning and tolerancing
- Knowledge of materials, treatment and tolerances for process components.
- Ability to manage Internal Interfaces with Purchase, Planning, Projects, QA.
- Ability to Manage a Team: treat members equally and fairly, receive feedback from the team.
- Interpersonal skills to build strong internal relationships with all departments to support good design
- practices, understand quality principles and their application to design and materials, inspire and lead
- value engineering / reverse engineering projects.
