- Provide leadership and support for faculty recruitment, retention, and professional development initiatives.
- Facilitate opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation among faculty members.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and excellence among university staff through training and development programs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies governing higher education institutions.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between university stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and governing bodies.
- Serve as a liaison between the university administration and external stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and industry partners.
- Develop and manage the departmental budget in accordance with institutional priorities and financial constraints.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and resource optimization while maintaining quality and efficiency.
- Allocate resources strategically to support key initiatives and address emerging needs within the university.
- A doctoral degree in a relevant field, such as higher education administration, business administration, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in university administration, with a track record of progressive leadership roles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build consensus and foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated strategic planning and project management capabilities, with a results-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in higher education governance and compliance.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with experience promoting a welcoming and inclusive campus culture.
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation.
